This 10-day holy family tour follows sites traditionally associated with the passage of the Holy Family through Egypt, combining active churches and monasteries with archaeological places that place the route within the wider history of the country. The program begins and ends in Cairo and travels through Wadi El Natrun, the Red Sea monasteries, El Minya and Assiut.
The journey is designed as a small-group tour for up to 12 people and covers six cities over nine nights. Six nights are spent in Cairo, two in El Minya and one in Assiut, with all three hotel stays arranged on a half-board basis. Private air-conditioned transportation and privately guided sightseeing are included throughout the scheduled itinerary.
The religious route includes the Church of the Virgin Mary in Maadi, the Hanging Church, St. Sergius, St. George, Mary's Tree at El Matariya, the Virgin Mary Church in Zeitoun and four monasteries in Wadi El Natrun. The journey then moves south to the monasteries of St. Anthony and St. Paul before following the traditional Holy Family route through Jabal Al Tair and Al Muharraq Monastery.
Alongside these Christian heritage sites, the itinerary also includes the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, Valley Temple, the Grand Egyptian Museum, the rock-cut tombs at Beni Hasan, Tuna El-Gabal, Al-Ashmunien and the tombs of Miar. This combination makes the route both a pilgrimage in egypt and a broader study of the country's religious and archaeological landscape.

Arrive at Cairo International Airport, where your OFT Travel tour manager meets you after luggage collection and customs procedures.
A private air-conditioned deluxe vehicle transfers you to the hotel. Once there, the tour manager assists with check-in and reviews the complete itinerary with you, including the collection times for the scheduled tours.
No formal sightseeing is planned for the first day, allowing the itinerary to begin with arrival and hotel settlement.
